Yes. It has excellent, gentle groomed terrain and English-speaking ski schools, which makes it one of the easiest places in Japan to learn, even if the crowds are bigger than elsewhere.

It's the busiest resort in Japan, especially at peak January. If you want the powder without the queues, look at Rusutsu, Kiroro or Furano nearby.
